Be my Quarantine

A few centuries ago, under Juliet's balcony, Romeo may have shouted "Be my Valentine". In the spring of 2020, Romeo stayed inside and Juliet, perhaps, proposed to him: "Be my Quarantine". This is how lovebirds and the rest of the world lived, confined or semi-confined.

From the sidewalks, Marko Stevic took pictures of them, of theater-like appearances on balconies. Like a butterfly collector, he pinned humans onto their colorful facades in the time of coronavirus. Caroline Stevan, for her part, collected the sad and joyful echoes of our distressed universe in that time.

  • A visual testimony on an unprecedented period
  • A series of 250 photographs, original and symbolic at the same time.
  • Shows another side of confinement
  • Bright, cheerful and positive images that make you smile
  • Photos and texts that are sometimes humorous, sometimes moving, often surprisings
